To become successful in the ADL program I have come to the conclusion of a few things. To be successful in this program you need to start by looking at the bigger picture of the program in its entirety, not just this course. In making this change in perspective we can begin to see how each of the courses will build and relate to one another especially as we begin to form and navigate our e-portfolios.

The second thing I have learned is that to be successful you will also need to focus on the environment in which we are completing our degree. By that, I mean that we are in courses designed to offer choice, ownership, and voice through authentic learning experiences. This course and the others which follow will not be full of busy work but will point us towards authentic learning experiences which we will document through our e-portfolios.

Finally, to be successful in ADL we will need to be confident in our ability to be autodidacts. The information and learning that happens through out this class will not be spoon-fed to us, we will have to go out on our own using the tools provided to us through this program to form our own options and conclusions.
